Truths for Daily Living

The following areas of God’s Word are truths that will help you live a victorious Christian life as you apply them on a daily basis. We recommend them to you.

Integrity Of The Word

By ‘integrity’ we mean that the Word is totally accurate and God will always keep and honour His Word. God is a covenant God and will not break His Word. He has given us His Word so we may know what we can expect Him to do on our behalf. (Jeremiah 1:12; Psalm 119:89; 138:2; 89.34).

Faith Receives What The Word Promises

The Word is the basis of our faith life (Romans 10:17). While we hear and do the Word, our faith will receive what God promised. (Romans 4:17, 21; Hebrews 11:11).

Revelation Of Righteousness

‘Righteousness’ means ‘right standing with God’. This standing is ours NOW in Christ Jesus. (Romans 4:25; Romans 3:21-26; 1 Corinthians 1:30; 2 Corinthians 5:21).

Revelation Of Redemption

‘Redemption’ means ‘payment by ransom’, or ‘to set free by payment’. Jesus has already redeemed us. He alone had the right of redemption “and on the cross set us free or redeemed us from sin, Satan’s dominion, sickness, poverty and all the works of the devil.” (Galatians 3:13; 1 Peter 1:18,19; Colossians 1:13,14; Job 33:24).

The Holy Spirit Active In Our Daily Lives

Jesus promised the indwelling comforter (John 14:16,17). ‘Comforter’ means ‘one called alongside to help’ (counsellor, helper, intercessor, advocate, strengthener, standby – Amp). Also, the Holy Spirit comes upon us as an enduement of power from Jesus called the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 1:8; 2:1-4; 2:38,39; 19:1-6).

God has a financial plan in His Word that if followed by any believer, holds the promise of temporal blessings in this life and rich reward in heaven (1 Timothy 4:8; Mark 10:30). This plan also covers the needs of the Church. God’s Word covers every area of life including our material and financial prosperity. God’s system is under grace, so you can’t earn the blessings. But grace is a partner with faith and we receive God’s blessings by obeying His Word. A large part of the fulfillment of God’s financial plan for our lives is seen in the giving of tithes and offerings. This is not a requirement of the Law, but an honour to give. (Malachi 3:6-11; 2 Corinthians 9:6-10).
